It can absorb shock, vibrations and is a self healing type without bleeding. Bitumen Mastic Flooring is highly durable and needs little maintenance. The surface can easily be cleaned. The Bitumen Mastic Flooring is liable to become gradually softened by prolonged contact with greases, fat and oil. Contamination with suchmaterials shall be avoided.

The bitumen received in barrels is heated and a block of broken bitumen of 60 mm cubes can be melt cooker, coarse aggregate, crushed stone screenings and limestone dust shall be fed in successive until the entire charge is thoroughly incorporated. After all the aggregate has been incorporated materials shall be mixed thoroughly and continuously heated for a period of not less than 2 hour temperature of 175 to 200 deg C. At no stage the temperature shall exceed 205 degree C.
